A grand historical experience
The charming lobby immerses you in a bygone era, while being just steps away from vibrant People's Square. The staff was friendly and efficient, adding warmth to my stay.
Breakfast was a mixed bag with limited seating and some lackluster Western options.

Staying at this hotel was a delight as it's just a short walk to People's Square and a few steps to the Shanghai Museum, making it perfect for my city strolls and explorations. the staff were also very helpful and courteous during my stay, which added to the overall positive experience.

The concierge provided excellent assistance during our stay.
We faced significant issues during our visit. The air conditioning in our room was not functioning, making it uncomfortable at night. breakfast was disappointing, with cold and undercooked food. The front desk staff was unhelpful and at times rude, which added to our frustration.

The location here is 👌! It's right at People's Square and super close to the Bund! Room was a bit small but cozy. The breakfast had great variety. Just wish the wifi was faster.

i was honestly ready to give this place a glowing review, until i experienced the sheer audacity of the staff being rude and, the air conditioning not working properly. i certainly expected at least a complimentary breakfast for the trouble. shame, really, as it could've been a lovely stay otherwise.
